ABOUT ARSH KALER

Arsh Kaler is a lifelong Abbotsford resident, youth advocate, and passionate community leader running for School Trustee in the upcoming by-election. As a proud product of Abbotsford’s public education system, Arsh’s journey—from preschool to high school—has been deeply rooted in this community. He’s now ready to give back to the system that helped shape who he is today.

Arsh is the Founder and President of the Smiles Through Seva Foundation, a youth-led nonprofit that empowers young people through leadership and service. Under his leadership, the foundation has raised thousands of dollars for local causes including the Abbotsford Hospice, Starfish Pack Program, and Pacific Autism Family Network.

He also serves as the Treasurer of Kirpa Collective Society, an emergency relief organization born out of the 2021 Fraser Valley floods, and sits on several boards and committees that reflect his dedication to community-building and youth development:

Recognized as the youngest nominee ever for Entrepreneur of the Year by the Abbotsford Chamber of Commerce, Arsh is also a recipient of the Community Service Scholarship from Abbotsford Traditional Secondary and has been featured in Darpan and Drishti Magazine for his civic engagement.

Arsh believes in a simple but powerful idea: a busy mind is a healthy mind. His platform focuses on student-led initiatives, mental health advocacy, and ensuring youth have a voice in school decisions.

 

“I was guided by mentors who helped me find purpose. Now it’s my turn to guide the next generation,” says Arsh.
